Poetry 101

during my college days, i was able to write a couple of verses. i got here two poems that i have created. i hope you will like them.

A Day to Live
make each morning a brand new start
yield goodness from innermost heart
reminisce a joyful moment inspirit a disheartened soul
listen to the voice deep within
look beyond what the eye can see
seek the beauty of tomorrow
increase heartwarming affection
open the door to happiness
sieze opportunity that knocks
overcome the trials of life
nourish the heart with thanksgiving!

Black Imagination
yellow magic flowers whimsically wither
against the cool blue skies
the sun withold its gleaming rays
and nighttime seems forever blue
the rainbow felt jaded in heavens
after a raging perfect storm
the music of silence seems out of tune
against the fury of uproaring waves
then, a faintest star looks lost
in the midst of cold clouded night
silver moonlight gazes slowly...fadingly...above the shadows of blueblack night
words fit no more with their meanings
as the nightingale fails to sing by heart
when the quest turns weary... ceases...like a sunken empty chest of gold
found beneath the sea of great unknown
candle burns out in the break of dawn
breathing breathlessly the spirit of being

Instant Family Reunion

last friday, jan 23 i received a text message from my father announcing that his brothers and sisters from general santos city will be coming over the weekend. cool! instant family reunion! =) this has happened because uncle che2x and his wife are coming in davao city.

gatherings such as like this is not so usual. i guess for us. living here in davao, far from most of our relatives led us to experience a handful of reunion. we usually spent our christmas vacations in surallah when we were kids and summer vacations with our extended family in gensan.

then, saturday came. it was a sunny morning. our house was jampacked and extraordinarily so loud beacause everybody was in joyful mood to see uncle che2x and his wife, exchanging good laughs and few bottle of beers. hehe. i was so happy to see lolo badong and my cousin roy2x. i have not seen them for three years!

reunion jud! hehe. reunion really blesses the tie that binds us as a family. knowing who they are and how they are right now feels so good. keeping in touch with them in this limited time was a great experience and a good reason to celebrate. cheers!

I'm Blogging for 2009

it has been a while since a good friend of mine would tell me to read articles from her blogspot from time to time and post some comments. however, this did not move me to create one. whenever i am online she would remind me through buzzing to visit her blog spot and post some comments there. this has been a routine especially, when she added new articles. however, visiting, reading an article then posting a comment has ended up as an obligation rather than an enjoyment for me. hehe (but mind you, i found her articles interesting!)

well, that was yesterday. i was really trying to find time to work out the writer in me and be able to share the thoughts, the search and experiences that i have encountered, i am encountering right now and in the future.

hmm, this is something new that i have done as a start up for 2009. doing something NEW, do me good! a big big thanks to ariesa. =)
